Human Design Type: Projector
What is a Human Design Projector?
Human Design Projectors account for about 20% of the human population and are here to guide. Projectors have the ability to see energy dynamics and patterns in others, and as such are able to understand other people better than they can sometimes understand themselves. This in turn makes them great leaders. The Projectors’ name is based on their aura, which is projected upon by others, that is they get noticed.
What is a Human Design Projector?
Since the Projector’s Sacral center is undefined, they do not have sustained energy for long periods of time. Projectors do really well outside of manual labor, in roles where they are directing the work as opposed to executing every detail. In terms of collective purpose, Projectors are here to solve problems and show others how to use energy more efficiently. They need to study and be informed so they can guide and be intelligent with energy usage.
Subtypes of Human Design Projector
The Projector is the only Human Design type which has subtypes. It’s important to remember this aura type can have anywhere from two to eight defined energy centers, which in turn determines its subtype.
- Mental Projector
- Two or three of the top three centers are defined (Head, Ajna, Throat)
- Deep thinkers, their energy is above the body, that is in the head and can easily ingest large volumes of data and process it with ease
- Their life journey calls for a shift from being smart to being wise, that is use the receptiveness resulting from all the open energy centers below the throat to inform their understanding of the world
- Does not have an internal authority and are designed to use their information processing capability when making decisions
- Classic Projector
- No defined motor centers; definition is only below the throat (Spleen, G-Center)
- Characterized by an ease stemming from the lack of constant rush of moving energy, which others may appreciate when in the presence of a Classic Projector
- Due to the high number of open centers, the level of perception is incredibly high. Classic Projectors, if they so choose, have the ability to be the least judgemental of all the types
- The lack of energy to carry out tasks on a consistent basis gives an advantage when it comes to being here to lead and guide. Learning to delegate and supervise opens up a lot of possibilities
- Energy Projector
- One or more energy centers are defined (Root, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat) but not the Sacral center; can have defined centers above the throat
- The most energetic of the Projector subtypes is susceptible to being mistaken for someone who can do it all given they can have enormous outputs of energy from the motor centers within
- When recognized by the right person/opportunity, the Energy Projector can shift into a whole different mode of insight, ability, and productiveness, which however requires recharging
- Being selective about work is critical as the wrong opportunity may deplete valuable resources; it’s OK to decline an offer it it doesn’t feel right and use the time to recharge
The Human Design Projector in Detail
- Aura: Human Design Projectors have a deep, penetrating aura which allows them to focus on the critical items and ask the important questions. This aura projects out towards other people and is in turn projected upon by others. Specifically Projectors get noticed and recognized. The Projector aura focuses on one person at a time
- Not-self theme: Projectors take in and reflect back other people’s energy from their undefined centers. This is the energy dynamic of the group, not the Projector, which will disappear when the group dissolves. Since Projectors live in a world of busy people, they can over time get completely burnt out and may need a long break. It’s important for them to understand that trying to keep up with the busy bees is not why they are here
- Strategy: The Projector’s strategy is to wait until recognized and invited by the right group. It is in their design to be noticed. If they succumb to the fear of not being noticed and decide to force their way forward, the result is likely to be a very bitter situation. The Projector needs the right person/organization in their life, not just any group of people
- Signature: Projectors must always refer to their Inner Authority before accepting any major life invitation if they would like to ensure it is the correct one for them. Accepting the wrong invitation can have serious and long-term consequences for Projectors. Generally Projectors who do not follow their Strategy and Inner Authority are likely to suffer serious exhaustion, which in turn may lead to illness and apparent bitterness about life and other people. The Projector is not here to keep up activity-wise with the energy Human Design types
Tips For Human Design Projectors
- Projectors should honor their Strategy and wait to be recognized first and then invited, especially for important decisions around new personal relationships, new home, new career/job, and friendships
- It is critically important to wait for the right invitation as it can greatly reduce the potential for incorrect decisions for a Projector. A successful life journey for a Projector is highly dependent on selecting the right people to have in their lives
- Projectors need plenty of rest because they take in and reflect a lot of energy during their day. Practicing going to bed an hour earlier than they think they need to might be helpful as well as reading, watching TV, listening to music or simply relaxing. Ideally, a Projector should try and be outside of anyone’s aura while recharging
When Projectors are aligned with themselves and resonate with their surroundings, they have the energy to do things they desire and fulfill their true calling of being wise and intelligent guides.
What is a Human Design Manifestor?
The Manisfestor is designed to impact the world and others. They are often considered the Maverick or lone warrior among the Human Design types. Manifestors hate being told what to do and are here to forge their own way. Rules are not their friends as they learned when they were young. The Manifestor’s aura is very powerful and repelling, and they are generally not inclusive people and team players. This can often be perceived as arrogance and egotism. Manifestors thrive with freedom and autonomy. Among the most famous Human Design Manifestors are Maya Angelou, Johnny Depp, Susan Sarandon, Al Gore, Jennifer Anniston, Monica Bellucci, Tom Cruise, and Jerry Seinfeld.
